You have applied the XMLgawk patch which is distributed
on my web page. This patch is still experimental and the
maintainer of GNU Awk has not yet made a decision about
including the patch in a release. I expect the experimental
phase do last for some time more.
Anyway, you asked for a solution. The problem
arises because I have not yet inserted the
xml_puller.c files properly into the "configure"
mechanism. Therefore the (patched) Makefile gets
overwritten during the "configure" step. If you
restore the (patched) Makefile, the build should
go smoothly. Please write an email to me personally
if the problems persist.
Secondly, Mike Frysinger (from Gentoo Linux) is
working on a patch for the build process. I will
insert the patch into my "official experimental patch"
and post it on the XMLgawk page:
