Hi there, sorry for the bother, can't seem to find any clue why this is a problem but it seems I can't pipe data into uuencode from other programs???address@hidden ~]$ cat testfile.junk.uue | uudecode : stdin: No such file or directory I'm running under CYGWIN. Other pipes work ok (i.e. more, wc) If I run uudecode passing the file as an argument it works fine. Any ideas??? Thanks, --> Rob
Hi Rob, No, no obvious idea. Are you having trouble with uuencode or uudecode? uudecode reopens each specified input file as stdin and calls the decoder function. What version of sharutils are you using? Thank s- Bruce
