Thanks for a fix.  And yes, I am well aware of the risks of -Werror; but
it makes a great testing tool to quickly narrow in on errors rather than
having to scroll through lots of logs.  And in the reported case, it
happened to work on cygwin, but would have broken on any platform with
64-bit pointers but 32-bit ints and similar declarations in the headers,
so the warning WAS reporting an actual bug.
