Hi,

I was fiddeling with something like that a couple of days ago. I was
actually able to compile only those file with the evaluator routines. I was
even able to compile these files with MSVC.

I was thinking of adding #define EVAL_ENGINE_ONLY some places in the code
such that hackers easily create dynamic libraries for purposes like
Blowfish and online players. Unfourtunately I can't access the CVS these
days, so I won't be able to commit this yet.

Basically you need to compile these files:
drawboard.c
positionid.c
eval.c
pub_eval.c
matchequity.c
matchid.c
erf.c
lib/hash.c
lib/neuralnet.c
lib/md5.c
lib/mt19937int.c
lib/isaac.c
lib/list.c

If you don't want problems with PushLoacle and PopLocale you sould also
compile i18n.c. Please contact me if you want to try to build this
yourself. I'll be pleased to help you further.

(Still... if you use such dynamic library from the GNU Backgammon, you
still have to lisence your software to GPL.)
