Yes! Definitely include the analysis as well. That's an important reason for
exporting from GNU to the GoL forum (and others).  Having said that...It
would be nice to have the option of board only, or board and analysis, since
many of the BBS postings occur in "quiz" fashion:

1) Position is posted with a question: "Blue on roll, cube action?".. or
"Blue to play 6-6"
2) Opinions are posted in response to the position
3) Reply is posted with GNU evals/rollouts to compare with the human
opinions.
4) World peace is negotiated, and world hunger is solved.


A possibly related issue would be to have dual settings for the file path to
export html images.

For stand-alone posting you need the filepath to GNUBG's html images
(Red/Black) and for BBS posting you need the proper BBS filepath to the
Blue/White images.  It would be nice to keep both filepaths in memory and be
able to menu-select "export html to stand-alone", or "export position to
BBS".  Right now I have to remember the different filepaths, go in and
change settings, before I can switch from one type of export to the other.

Maybe that's what you are talking about already with the "board paste"
feature you are planning.


I tend to use the html export to send a position or an analyzed match to
someone via email, and the "export to stand-alone" works great for that.
The html files zip up to no bigger than text files, and are so much easier
to read.  Of course this is a temporary situation, since one day soon
everyone will have GNUBG so we can just send the .sgf or .pos file and they
can view the results interactively ;-)

The export position command was indented for exporting positions to a
stand-alone web page, but I see there is a demand for export of just the
position for copy'n'paste into, say, GoL.

I think I'll add commands for easy pasting of just the board. Do you
need to include analysis as well, or is it sufficient just to copy the
board onto the clipboard?

I prefer to keep the images on the stand-alone export, but the new
copy-of-board function will of course not include the pictures,
horizontal lines, large fonts etc.
