If you have a video card (graphical card) with 1 MB (or even 2 MB), there
can be problems.
(You normally get a short notice of that memory, when booting your PC)

But it must be OK to use 8-bit (or 256) colors. I have no problems running
GNU Bg on machines with 256 colors.

The 'smallest' computer I use has a 2 MB video card and 48 MB (yep, only 48)
RAM memory. Runs on Win98 SE. 1024 x 768 and 16-bit colors.
