Yes, we're very aware of the need to set up a position quickly (a
File->New->Position) and an edit mode where you play around with a
position, but it's not trivial to implement -- otherwise we would have
done it a long time ago :-)

I have a few ideas I want to pursue -- maybe I'll some time during
Xmas....
