I'm not sure if there might be a better way, but I save the analysis file first (ctrl+s on my setup).  I find the interactive feature useful for "playing out" an interesting position several times to get a feel for what's going on.  Using tutor mode here can be enlightening since the real-time feedback tells me how I'm likely to blunder playing from this position.

Then to restore the original analysis I use ctrl+m (open match) to reload the analysed saved match.

Having said that I don't recall ever using the "move" button.  I'm not sure how long it's been there.

Ned and Nardy solved the lost analysis problem, but here's something I noticed. First, mea culpa for not saving the session before running the analysis. However, if in the annotation window, following analysis, you select a move, and then press the Move button, the program makes the move and the answering move - in effect creating a new game from that point on and dumping everything else - games and analysis all lost in siliconspace. I was thinking that the Move button was similar to Snowie's Show button, which shows the selected move, and lets you click from move to move in the analysis list, showing them all until the Show button is turned off, at which point the original position is restored. As is often the case, I was wrong.

a) what is the purpose of the move button in analysis? (It should come with a warning button...)  ;-)

b) is there a Show function, or will there be?
