Most likely. But the flag will be prettier if use formulae since we can
honour the light settings and make shades etc. But I must admit I'm
totally lost in the rendering code :-)

I think the left click/right click idea is good enough, since
resignations are normally always accepted. gnubg only resigns in
non-contact positions, and besides bugs I've never seen gnubg resign
where it shouldn't be accepted.

Yes, but I'm not sure how easy that would be to implement since the
rendering code is centered around CalculateArea. But I'll leave that to
the expert(s) on gtkboard.c :-)
