Respect to Da Man! Saves me upgrading our 2.4 GHz PCs to 3.8 GHz beasts ;D I'm going on holiday for a week, but I'll look forward to trying it. --Ian
Hold on! For now, this only works on Apple G4's (they have a vector unit)... However, it should also work on non-Apple (eg, some IBM servers) and non-MacOS X (eg, Darwin) platforms that host a G4 processor.
But maybe some BLAS implementations on PC will provide a speed increase as well, but certainly not as spectacular. I've not been using BLAS on my G4 because the MacOS X BLAS implementation lacks NxM matrix/vector multiply (at the moment, only NxN for N=4, 8, 16...)
