that's ok. In /etc/ssh/ssh_config (the client configfile) you'll find an
entry like "StrictHostKeyChecking ask".

If this is set to yes, you are only able to connect to "known" hosts.
If it's set to no, you'll may always connect even to unknown servers.
If it's set to ask, you'll be asked everytime you connect to a new (not
known in your known_hosts) server.
