I happened to read this and thought I'd apologize to the community. I
have received a couple emails about what my changes were to get the
windows version to compile with ./configure; make (Well conifgure will
take a few extra parameters).

I have been busy stuck on the critical path for a project and didn't
have time to devote to this.

However, I believe that if you follow Nardy's instructions and extract a
tar ball (I have to put the proper files in it that I modified), install
Automake-1.6 (I think that was it), you should be good to go.

I did leave off with one small snag. For whatever reason, when compiling
the Non GUI version of the windows product I am forced to drop the
readline support. I believe this may be related to soemthing that I
buggered when hacking around getting ./configure to work. I'll have to
take a virgin ming environment, apply the changes (tarball) I know are
needed and then try again.

As it stands It is possible with the appropriate changes to build this
product with ./configure + options; make dance.

Sorry for dropping th ball for a bit.
