Yes, that's a good point.

Indeed, it is. But..

Look at how successful Linux is on the desktop. And those parts that begin to make it successful don't look that much like Unix. (Besides, I know that KDE nor Gnome have nothing to do with Linux.)

For the desktop you'll have to deal with the average user that merely and at most _uses_ a _few_ programmes. (S)He doesn't master even those.

And gnubg is a desktop programme.
