Again, this is somewhat related to the problems about saving positions:

The annotation text belongs to the current move record, but gnubg
doesn't internally save a moverecord for the current move until you
finished the move, because it does not know what you're about to do
(roll dice, double, cheat, whatever). Hence, it's not possible to enter
annotation text until you've finished the move.


It's the same problem as for saving positions: the evaluation data
belongs to the current move record, but there is no current move record
until you finish the move. Hence, gnubg can only save evaluations for
finished moves, and not for "X on roll" positions or "X rolled 33". 

In conclusion, I don't see any changes to this until we've fixed the
general problem about internal representation of moves in gnubg. But
when we do, millions of things that users have complained about will
start working!

Joseph and I has previously discussed how to fix this.
