Hi folks,
just a few results from Graz (Computer Olypiade)
GNU Backgammon vs BGBlitz (best out of 5 13-p matches)
1. 13-4
2. 13-10
3. 6-11
4. 3-9 (in progress)
So cross your fingers, the winner will be called world champion.
It won't be adjusted for luck?
The surroundings here are beautiful, the playing ground is
impreesive. Pictures will follow.
Looking forward to it!
Another information: as in chess the organizators plan a exhibition
match in the next year between i.e. the world champion and the
computer world champion (money from sponsors will be involved).
What about getting a sponsor for an excibition match between GNU
Backgammon and a World Class player. Possible sponsors: GamesGrid,
GammOnLine, GammonVillage, bgshop.... others....
Perhaps I have more information tomorrow.
Hope so....
The first three matches are available at
http://mole.dnsalias.org/~acepoint/GnuBG/matches/. Frank Berger plays
with a new engine, but in my opinion his new net made a few horrible
cube mistakes.
I'll take a look....
