Thx, sorcerer ;-). Works like a charme, also the clear hint command.
Who needs gui, this is very comfortable now. Even reverse search and
other functions from shell are usable. Only one question: Is the
history limited to a certain amount of commands, does it read
$HISTSIZE from shell or does it save zillions of cmmands?
