The CVS source had a mistake in the evaluation code between Sept. 21 and 
Oct. 29 (versions 1.294 and 1.295 of eval.c).

The effect was that it badly misjudged positions where one player has 2 or 
more men on the bar. This is the case in your examples or their likely 
followups in 2-ply evaluations.

Unfortunalely, the latest win32 snapshot available on www.gnubg.org was 
build during this period. Maybe this is what you used ?

The downloadable archive should probably be removed or replaced by an 
older version until a new snapshot is available.
