Yes, of course you can use screenshots of GNU Backgammon in your books.
Just a note on the the spelling. Please spell 'GNU Backgammon' as the
name of the software. If you absolutely have to shorten it, use 'gnubg'
with small caps. (or a capital G if it's first in a sentence.)
