It is quite likely that this bug have been fixed (sort of). It is not
the unix way to change your language in a gui dialog. Rather you
should set the LANG and LC_ALL variables in your environment, and that
should point to an existing locale on your system. Not all linux
machines have the it_IT locale, but rather it_IT.UTF-8 or similar. So
we now pop a warning if it_IT is chosen, but doesn't exist. But
setting the language through the environment and setting your language
in gnubg to system default is the proper way to do it.
