Michael, I did what was instructed below.
New packages for MacOS 10.5 (Leopard)
There are new packages available for MacOS 10.5:
http://http://www.gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg.pkg <http://www.gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg.pkg>
http://http://www.gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg_all.pkg <http://www.gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg_all.pkg>
The first package contains only gnubg files (all located in /opt/local/) and expects the necessary libraries being installed in /opt/local/lib. The second package also contains all libraries besides python and X11.
Gnubg is no native MacOS application so you have to open a terminal an type "/opt/local/bin/gnubg" for starting it. The first start will last a few seconds because the X-server also has to be started (happens automatically).
Icons for a more convenient start will follow.
Have fun!

Thank you for your quick response.
What do I do?

What is the URL/File you downloaded to install GnuBG?
What commands do you run from the terminal to launch gnubg?
I have never seen what you described. Can you screen shot your desktop with Command-Shift-3 (You’ll hear it click like a camera shutter) demonstrating this problem?. A picture file will be saved to your desktop called “Picture X” (where X=number). Email me a copy of the screenshot directly (Don’t post it to the mailing list)

Hi, downloaded GNU onto a new MacBook Pro w/ 10.5.6 and got program up using a terminal but can't play it because bottom 20% of screen is obscured by Mac desktop icons & no matter what I try (full screen, resizing window, etc.) I can't get the GNU window above the icons. Can't see player icons, pip count and, I assume, how to roll dice & play.
Basically, no way to use game.
Some advice on how to modify screen (either Mac or GNU tips) would be much appreciated !
Thanks,
Michael
