In older versions of OS/X (years ago) there was a version of X11 that
could be installed by the Apple Installer. That is no longer the case
with Yosemite (So there is no default X11 App). YOu should simply go and
download Xquartz from:

http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/

Open up the DMG, run the installer package. Once X11 is installed I'd
recommend logging out and logging back in.

You have to download GNubg for Yosemite from here:

http://gnubg.org/media/macos/gnubg-1_04_000-mac-1010-x86_64.dmg

Open up the GNUbg DMG and you MUST drag the gnubg.app to your
/Applications . Failure to drag the App there will make it fail for
certain. Once gnubg.app (in the DMG) is dragged to /Applications folder
you can lauch it from /Applications like any other application.
