I could not find a method by which to make a technical [as opposed to monetary :-)] contribution to GNUCobol.
Regardless, I have attached VFILE1.COB.
VFILE1.COB implements these Micro Focus and Fujitsu CBL_ routines:
  1. CBL_OPEN_VFILE 
  2. CBL_CLOSE_VFILE
  3. CBL_READ_VFILE
  4. CBL_WRITE_VFILE

Additionally TESTVFX.COB is supplied as a test harness and example usage of the routines.

I have no proprietary interest in these programs.
Please feel free to use and distribute as y'all so elect.
