That looks fine to me.

With such little syntactical things like that (where violations
may well sneak in over the coming months/years), I've begun adding
syntax checking Makefile rules in the coreutils.  See Makefile.maint's
syntax-check.

Those rules are totally optional and connected solely to coreutils'
`make dist' target, so I don't have to worry much about portability.
Maybe gnulib should do something similar?

In any case, can you propose additions to coreutils' syntax-check-rules
for this?
