It's not a lot of work.  It's easily automated, using the same sorts
of tools that translators are already familiar with.  It will probably
take less time for them to do that, than for them to understand what's
going on in our somewhat-tricky attempt to automate the job for them.
And it's far less likely to go wrong.

I guess we have different tradeoffs.  I'd rather have the solution
that generates higher-quality output in general, particularly when
there are other good arguments for doing it that way.
