In the general case I would agree with you. I'm hoping that since thedifferences between the two files tend to be just the gnulib integration, and that a broadly identical handful of lines constitutes the implementation of each, that I can contribute the libltdl portability layer to gnulib, and let the wider gnulib community help maintain it so that I can concentrate
