Not that I know of.

    regex.{c,h} seem to older than lib/regex.{c,h} though. 

There is some reason why both exist, but I forget why.  I think Jeff
(Bailey) said something about it when we first joined gnulib.  Can you
check the bug-gnulib archives?

    Also, regex.{c,h} in emacs
    (http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/emacs/emacs/src/) doesn't
    match the ones in the gnulib CVS root dir. The emacs ones are newer.

If people think the emacs regex.[ch] should be synced into gnulib, that
is easy.  My recollection is that the last time we discussed it,
there were nontrivial differences.
