Yes, it looked fine to me from that point of view, in my admittedly
cursory scan.

If they merely report it as a bug, nothing will happen.
(It was reported as a bug in 1999 and nothing happened. :-)
They have to escalate it.

I'm not sure, really.  It is part of a larger problem.  There is a lot
of deadwood in Autoconf and in gnulib, which talks about ancient hosts
that nobody uses any more, and at some point we should decide how to
handle it.  We have no mechanism now for this.  I guess I was thinking
we could make sunos57-select a sort of guinea pig for this.  But
perhaps it's not the best candidate.
