Great!  As it happens, I prefer reading my non-essential mail through
gmane.org.  Is it possible to make it a news group there?  Follow:

Perhaps gmane.comp.lib.gnulib.commit is a good group name.

If you aren't using mailman, perhaps explain it in the comments field.
