Hi Martin,

As an FYI, one of the test machines that builds the CVS sources nightly
is an SGI IRIX64 running 6.5 (Hmmm... I had thought we also had an SGI
IRIX 5.3 out there somewhere, but I must have been confused as I do not
see any results from such a machine...)

It would be good to understand how to fix the IRIX 5.x without breaking
the IRIX 6.x compilation. It appears that the testing of the last run
on an SGI box failed during the sshstdio-6 test.

The current CVS top-of-tree should be doing an include of <sys/types.h>
when it generates its stdint.h file and not regenerate duplicate types.

The CVS sources assume a stand-alone implementation of the C89 compiler
as a minimum, but should also work if you specify the 'CC' environment
variable as a c99 compiler.

The GNULIB package provides many of the functions and compatibility
libraries that allow modern C programs to use C99 functions and/or
POSIX functions in a portable manner.

At present this means that CVS is using many GNULIB files.
