If you want to contribute shell script functions to gnulib, we would need some
kind of "linker" for shell scripts: A tool which combines a set of shell
script fragments, each defining a number of functions, and a "main" script,
into a complete, runnable shell script. Does someone already have such a tool?

Can I nominate 'cat'? :-)

Ok, so it's not very full-featured (doesn't validate input, doesn't check for duplicate functions, only supports static "linking"), but for simple cases, I think it would get the job done. Do we really need something more complicated at this point?

Your eyes are weary from staring at the CRT. You feel sleepy. Notice how restful it is to watch the cursor blink. Close your eyes. The opinions stated above are yours. You cannot imagine why you ever felt otherwise.
