Of course. So, maybe we can adapt a philosophy to encourage reporters
(me included) to reproduce problems under Windows before filing bugs
about problems under Wine? That is fine with me, and I will make an
effort to reproduce under real Windows before filing bugs I notice under
Wine in the future.
Having a native Windows auto-builder would be useful here, I'll see if I
can find a spare machine and a Windows license somewhere...

Yes I believe so. Typically these people use Wine to get
interoperability with some piece of non-GPL software or to develop for
the Windows platform. For example, I have installed the Windows version
of MSYS and Emacs on my debian machine and use them via Wine.
