Hi,

I will use my registered email account here this time around
(since pan will not let us send files  ;)  )
to attach the conftest crashreports I’ve been seeing
and related console logs (OSX Terminal saved output).
I’m using p7zip v9.04 in lzma2 mode to zip everything up.

The conftest crashreports should match the “Bus Error”s
shown in the configure_consolelog.txt file.
Note it seems they involve Apple’s libraries solely.

There are two make-check_consolelog.txt files,
one that shows the test-xalloc-die build bug
(which we now know is officially fixed)
and the ‘fixed’ make-check log showing the FAILs etc.

Note I put the untar’d/ungzip’d source into my RamDisk
which is a proper HFSX volume (HFS+ with case-sensitivity)
and build most things from there
(one of these years I need to document how I do that on OSX,
it comes up during /etc/rc.local phase as a system volume
mimicking the old-style “Classic OS” RamDisk).

BTW _all_ of my volumes are now case-SENsitive
to belay earlier related reports I submitted a while back.  ;)
