I already checked this. This fix is working.

As this is working under AIX 6.1 it's likely a bug in AIX 7BETA.

That's the result:

# ./test-linkat
errno=20 (AIX errno.h: ENOTDIR)
test-linkat.c:184: assertion failed

As soon as the main problems are solved I will test the whole thing on
AIX 5.2, 5.3, 6.1 too.
