Seeing the renewed interest in patching the gnulib bootstrap script,
and how I won't have time for at least a couple of weeks to finish
my planned bootstrap.conf rewrite for as many bootstrap using GNU
projects as I could lay my hands on... now seems like as good a time
as any to post the current state of my rewrite of bootstrap.

Please find attached: bootstrap itself, and matching bootstrap.conf
files for m4, libtool and coreutils resp. (using master as at 2 weeks
ago or thereabouts).

The huge string at the top of the bootstrap script is slated for
inclusion in the appropriate texi documentation upon acceptance.

Feedback welcome. Permission to push the bootstrap rewrite on gnulib
master even more welcome!

Cheers,
