Thanks for the confirmation.

This makes it a lot easier to distribute software through Apple's various 
AppStore channels under the more onerous terms they impose, while still having 
the freedom to share the actual code under the GPL. It's unfortunate that few 
people seem to be aware that this is not only perfectly legitimate, but also 
far preferable to just closing one's source code entirely to stay in Apple's 
good books.  I've only been able to find one GPLed iOS application (Wordpress), 
which is a shame since that makes all prospective iOS developers start from 
scratch when learning good practices for coding in that environment :-(
