Okay, thanks.

Bummer. Being at the back of the queue is no fun, especially when all the folks
that arrive after you get served first.

Maybe a return to plan A is better after all: Where I ask if anyone has a
reasonable objection to my committing the saner bootstrap to gnulib (which of
course I'll maintain while it's there, and remove in the event that it causes
anyone downstream problems that can't be fixed quickly), wait a week or two,
and if no one has raised an objection, just go ahead and upgrade bootstrap
myself? Before I do anything quite so radical though, I'll harass you a couple
more times to see if any progress is being made at intervals of a week or two.

I suppose if I have to wait just a few more months before it gets in, submitting
an improved module in 2010 and having to beg and cajole until 2012 before being
accepted would have to set some kind of a record? ;)

Cheers,
