Hi,

I have been eager to try the gnunet program for a while but compilation fails on my Debian system using both the deb source package as well as the tarred source. Both give the same error at the same point in the compile process. Am I doing something wrong? :-)
Last screen of output and the resulting error messages are pasted below:

make[4]: Leaving directory `/mnt/samba/incoming/Linux/tarred/GNUnet-0.5.4a/src/applications/afs/util'
Making all in encoding
make[4]: Entering directory `/mnt/samba/incoming/Linux/tarred/GNUnet-0.5.4a/src/applications/afs/encoding' /bin/sh ../../../../libtool --mode=link gcc -fno-strict-aliasing -Wall -g -O2 -o libgnunetafs_encoding.la -rpath /usr/local/lib insertutil.lo keywords.lo -lextractor libgnunetafs_blocks.la -lm -lnsl -lpthread grep: /src/build/libtool-1.4.3/debian/tmp/usr/lib/libltdl.la: No such file or directory /bin/sed: can't read /src/build/libtool-1.4.3/debian/tmp/usr/lib/libltdl.la: No such file or directory libtool: link: `/src/build/libtool-1.4.3/debian/tmp/usr/lib/libltdl.la' is not a valid libtool archive

What I find strange is that it looks in a completely non-existant directory for the file libltdl.la and is also in a completely different part of the file tree than where it is being compiled. I must backport the debs or just the source as my system is mainly the stable distro with various stuff backported to satisfy dependencies.

Thanks in advance for any help or info that you may be able to provide.

Regards

Matthew Smith
