Good news folks. The first version of "gnupod_modify" just hit the
git master branch.

I manged to find some time this weekend to look for an IDE and found
"EPIC". A perl plugin for eclipse. Eventhough it is far from what
I am used to when working with java in eclipse, it still massivly
improved my productivity. Real time code validation saved
me lots of time switching back an forth between editor and shell and
thus gnupod modify was done in less than two hours. (including an hour
and a half re-learing perl and understanding my own old code :-)

And ... it actually was fun.

Now gnupod_modify only needs some more polish and 0.99.9 will be
good to go and if nobody cries murder I'll call it 1.0.0 shortly
there after.

Then I'll do some harsh refactoring that will lay the ground work
for 2.0.

cheers
