Details:

calling the following statement

gmt = [NSTimeZone               timeZoneWithAbbreviation:@"GMT"];

i get an exception:

Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason:

Tried to add nil key to dictionary...

For debugging purposes i called:

NSLog (@"timezone abbreviations: %@", [NSTimeZone

             abbreviationDictionary]);

and the only output for exactly the "GMT" was:

GMT = "Africa/Porto-Novo";

which is definitely not my time-zone (Europe/Berlin).
