Details:

You can reproduce this with, for example, Gomoku. Set the language, in
another different of English:

  defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSLanguages "(Spanish)"

Launch Gomoku with the executable. run in English. Launch Gomoku from the
shell, run in Spanish.
