Details:

NSURL behaves slightly differently than Cocoa when initialized with an empty
string.

A recent change allows an NSURL object to be created with an empty string,
which is consistent with Cocoa, but in Cocoa the -path method returns nil in
this case, and in GNUstep it returns an empty string. According to the docs,
it should return nil if the URL doesn't conform to RFC 1808 (which presumably
is the case for an empty URL).
