There weren't that much changes to make_services in the last few years. Could you try to run any of the tools that come with base, just to see whether it is really a base problem or if gui has any play in this. >From searching the internet for issues with sYSMALLOc, I would say that this back trace is caused by some memory corruption at another place. But we are here almost at the beginning of the application. Could you please run this program under valgrind?
