Hello,

you can obtain it easily from the IceCat version number, just removing the -gX part.

You can be sure of it as GNU IceCat version are always $(upstream_version)-g$(X).

This value can be read from the browser/config/version.txt file.

Regards,
Giuseppe

I'm writing to request a file be created in the top-level directory w/
name "upstream-version" (or similar), with contents "2.0.0.12".

This way, we would have one place to update for synching w/ upstream,
scripts can be written to reliably DTRT, and documentation for all this
can subsequently be made available.

What do others think?
