[Bug-gnuzilla] Compiling Icecat-24

Hi, when compiling Icecat-24 I have four times done
'./configure' successfully
but always failed at the end of 'make' with error msg

/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Memory exhausted
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [libxul.so] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory
`/home/adam/downloads/icecat-24.0/toolkit/library'
make[2]: *** [libs_tier_platform] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/adam/downloads/icecat-24.0'
make[1]: *** [tier_platform] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/adam/downloads/icecat-24.0'
make: *** [default] Error 2

My system has 3.1 Gb memory and I have tried to minimise
memory load. 

I have libpango, libpangoxft libpangof2 libfreetype libxft
libgtk2 libx11

and may try again after rebooting to clear any cached
memory.

If I can do this and a 'make install' it should be ok.

I'm using debian wheezy and the 'toutatis' source.

Can anyone suggest what I am missing here ?
