__dso_handle

Hi,

I've need to use a recent version of gcc (I've tried cvs 20000926) on a
Debian 2.2 system.
When creating a shared library and using it afterwards I get a load
error because the symbol
__dso_handle is missing.

Is there a workaround, or did I miss something?
