Follow-up Comment #2, bugs #12128 (project grep):
coreutils has attempted to move away from numeric options like "head -20".
Support for this usage has been removed for hosts that claim conformance to
POSIX 1003.1-2001. Part of the problem is that the obsolescent syntax wasn't
regular at all (e.g., "head -20 -q" worked, but "head -q -20" did not).
