Thanks for the detailed bug report and the patch. Please note that
supporting win32 has a low priority at the moment so it may be a while
before I look into this; unless I hear confirmations of the bug and the
patch on several win32 systems from one or two more people.

In the mean time, you can try fixing the bugs identified by the failing
cases in foad1.sh :O) If you're not on the bug-grep mailing list, I
would encourage you to join.
