I don't know, what's in other distros, say, Debian, with groff and do
they apply some patches from the git repo. The Linux From Scratch
project (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org), for example, doesn't bother
with any patching as well. That's, I think, because groff is taken
somewhere simply as a "manpage processor", and a bare 4 years old
version is pretty enough for this. So, making a new official release
would be a really great thing. Thank you.
