I have Win98 and Suse 8.1 on hd0; Grub boots them without problems. I just
installed Darwin 6.0 for i386 on hd1; it has a boot partition (hd1,0 or
hd1s1 in darwinspeak) and a root partiion (hd1,1 or hd1s2). I can't boot
Darwin. I'm using >rootnoverify (hd1,0) >makeactive >chainloader +1 >boot.
I got "Load Error". While in Suse, I put Darwin in the boot menu. Darwin
stll didn't boot. The error message was "unrecognized device string". I
wonder if anyone has had success in using Grub to boot Darwin? I'm open to
any and all suggestions. Thanks. Vince
