Details:

The following versions of grub2 are unable to boot on the asus motherboard in
subject: 
1.98+20100804-5ubuntu3
1.98-1ubuntu5

Tested by a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04.1 and 10.10

With one drive (with Maxtor 6L160P0 drive) there is no boot at all "BOOT DISK
FAILURE" while with another drive (now disconnected) the error was error2.

grub1 from Ubuntu 8.04 boots without problem.
